Experiential Design
Belcan is a global engineering and technology powerhouse, their work in industrial, aerospace and automotive industries has given them an impressive story to tell visually throughout their new office in Blue Ash, Ohio. Yellow Door Creative partnered with MA Design to create spaces that evoked pride in employees and helped in their recruitment efforts. The office's brand path focuses on three main areas: the reception as a place to welcome, the cafe serving as a central gathering space and the executive lounge celebrating pivotal employees. Each area communicates a new layer of information about their success and journey as a company.
Intended as a cultural hub, the cafe features a dynamic timeline with interchangable milestone plaques hugging LED rope light, an abstracted blue heartbeat of sorts. The striking, non-chronological system allows Belcan to swap out plaques for maximum flexibility and growth. The executive lounge leverages a similar concept to the cafe but incorporates higher end materials to compliment the interior design finishes. Celebrating Belcan's Hall of Fame, a display of routed walnut and laser cut acrylic plaques create a mosaic that can be built upon as new inductees are added.
